Subject: fob update - recent events and a meeting
Hi All
Welcome to the first regular e-mail update of all things Bedlam.
Following feedback that FoB members would appreciate regular updates on
the work of EUTC and FoB we now aim to send out monthly e-mails
with all the news! So kicking off this update, news of a regular pub meet
in both London and Edinburgh before we head all the way back to August
and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe...
Bedlamites Pub Meetings
In order to give you a chance to meet up with all those friends that you
always mean to try and see, we are organising a regular pub meet up on
the first Tuesday of every month in both Edinburgh and London. This means
that the first meeting is tommorow/today, Tuesday 2nd of November.
The London meeting is taking place in The Salisbury pub, on St Martins
Lane site of the first London FoB meeting.

paste that lot in to get a multimap up of it, or see any reputable A-Z.
That's 8pm TUESDAY NIGHT, THE SALISBURY, ST. MARTIN'S LANE.
For those still in Edinburgh, we are meeting in Cloisters on Brougham
Street at Tolcross also from 8pm

Hope to see you at least some of you then, then.
Bedlam Fringe 2004
Bedlam once again opened its doors as a professional venue this year and
welcomed in outside companies from across the country. It was a very
successful year for both the theatre and EUTC.
This year's EUTC productions were Jaberwocky and Improverts. Joberwocky
went for a two week run and received a 4 star review - congratulations all
involved. Improverts also had a fantastic Fringe and with excellent
audiences who benefited a little help from lower ticket prices. Reviews
for both shows can be found by going through www.bedlamtheatre.co.uk
The now legendary end-of-fringe party once again took over the theatre
after it closed following the last show. EUTC members, Fringe staff,
outside companies and Friends of Bedlam all enjoyed sending the 2004
fringe into the history books (or at least the archives)! Those
wishing to sample the "atmosphere" of the night can take a look at the
party pictures on www.bedlamites.co.uk
Annual General Meeting
As tradition now dictates, the FoB AGM took place on the ultimate morning
after the night before - yes, only a few hours after the young 'uns
stopped partying, the old folks moved in to have a meeting. Following
reports on the year gone by, an update from the EUTC President on the
building and discussions on FoB communication (full minutes for the
meeting can be found on the FoB website), Rachel Chapman handed in her
resignation from the committee due to work and wedding commitments.
We would like to thank Rachel for her unending hard work in setting up FoB
and being on the committee for the first two years of its life. We would
also like to welcome Richard Shelton who succeeds Rachel in the role of
Secretary on the FoB committee.
Funding applications
As you are aware, FoB can offer funding to future EUTC projects which
bring long-term benefits to the company. Deadlines for applications have
been set for 30 November 2004 and 31 March 2005. The FoB committee are
currently processing applications which have been passed by the EUTC
Committee and we'll let you know of any projects which are successful in
their application for funding.
London Improverts - Thursday Night Live - Thu 4th Nov, Thu 18th Nov
Spun off from the Bedlam Theatresports/Improverts show, the London
Improverts perform "Thursday Night Live" every second week.
Show at 9pm at The Tavistock Room, 2nd floor, The Bedford Arms, Balham.
[ From Balham underground, take the left exit from the station ticket
barrier, up the stairs and turn right when you get to the street. You
should be walking away from the main road, past the overground station
and alongside a long brick wall. There is a Sainsbury's car park you
will pass to your left. Ahead there is a crossroads junction/traffic
lights. The Bedford is ahead of you, across the road. ]
As ever, if you have any news you would like to share, shows to promote or
relevant business to tout, please just let us know by e-mailing
info@bedlamites.co.uk. Please remember to pass on the website details
(www.bedlamites.co.uk) to any former bedlamites who have not yet
signed up - the more the merrier!!
Hope to see you soon
Cheers
