Committee meeting of FoB, Saturday 25th Aug 2007, Cloisters, Edinburgh.
Meeting opened 18:50.
As per the constitution, the elected commitee memebers need to allocate positions.
Chair – Al wants to step down. Will pass on Alumni contacts, though Alumni staff change frequently. Wants to work more with Chris F to develop website. Needs to make the website and database manageable by others than him and ChrisF. Aim to have this done by end of September. Set up tracking system, set up server.
After discussions, the following positions were agreed:
- Chairperson – Cat Smith
- Treasurer – David Larking,
- Secretary – Bex Stackhouse
- Website – Chris Fleming
- Marketing/Communications - Chris Cooke
- Creative industries funding - Richard Lace
- Creative industries funding - Joanne Deponio
- Commitee handover - Al Broom
Secretary – Perhaps eliminate need for regular e-mail contact by streamlining the website.
It was noted that Vic Tills had offered to be a London contact.
Meetings
To be held regularly! Tuesday meeting once a month in Cloisters but to be suplimented by a Sunday meeting once a Month or so to do work. Al offered his office at St Marys Street as a central place to meet up to do stuff.Newsletter – Chris Cooke used to do. Perhaps Printed media not the best, E-mail letter better and cheaper.
