Elected at the AGM 29th August 2009

 

Chair - Helena Larkin

Helena graduated from Edinburgh University in June 2009. She was involved in all sorts in the Theatre and after a stint  on the committee as secretary for the academic year 2006/2007 she took up the running of the Bedlam Theatre Youth Project. She produced many shows during her time at Bedlam and now lives and works in Edinburgh.
   
Treasurer - Richard Hogg
   

Secretary - Ruth Wilkinson

Ruth Joined Bedlam in 2004 and was Tech Manager for the academic year 2005/6. During her time in bedlam she was involved in a number of shows including a number which recieved funding from FOB. Ruth also was able to seek advice from old bedlamites through FOB when she re-hung the lighting rig in august 2005. Ruth graduated from University in 2008 and then returned this year to train as a primary school teacher.

   
Website - Chris Fleming

Chris was around the Bedlam between 1995 and 2000. Whilst at Bedlam he spent his time lighting shows as well as working as Theatre Manager for the Festival in 1998. He now works for Agilent Technologies helping phone networks run smoothly(or not). He has a webpage at www.chrisfleming.org, it may get updated from time to time...
   
Marketing - Chris Cooke

Chris is Founder and Managing Director of the UnLimited Media Group, a London-based media, marketing and content company. This involves spending each August in Edinburgh running UnLimited's Edinburgh Festival media ThreeWeeks, something he co-founded back in his Bedlam days in the mid-nineties. During his four years at Edinburgh University he managed to fit in time as Theatre Manager, President and Marketing Manager of EUTC, as well as producing a few shows and doing a lot of Febfest stuff. He now occasionally blogs at www.stuffbyme.co.uk.
   
Dave Larking

Dave came to Edinburgh university back in 2000 and while failing his degree found Bedlam. He soon got stuck in to Imp tech fun, there followed a variety of tech and SM work on many shows for next few years. In spring 2006 everyone else took a step back and Dave found himself to be Theatre Manager. He now works as a freelance carpenter and set builder, making things for theatre, TV, film and corporate events.
   

Morven Pack


Morven was a member of EUTC from 1999 to 2003.  During her time at Bedlam she produced numerous plays including Improverts and Junk which was selected to showcase at the NSDF in 2001.  2001 was a busy year for Morven as she also took on the role of Fringe Venue Manager!   After graduating in Zoology in 2003 Morven went on in 2005 to do a Masters in Festival Administration and Production at Queen Margaret's University.  She now works as the Deputy Box Office Manager for the Festival City Theatres Trust, which runs the Kings and Festival Theatre in Edinburgh.  In the last year she has performed in three concerts with Loud & Proud Choir and has assistant produced and  assistant directed for the Edinburgh Luvvies.
   
Cat Smith

Cat Smith was a member of the EUTC from 2000 - 2004. She worked on numerous productions as stage manager, producer and techie. In 2002 she was the Fringe Cafe Manager, followed by Fringe Venue Manager during 2003. Unfortunately, in 2004, she had to graduate from her degree. She still lives and works in Edinburgh.
   
EUTC President

The current President of the Edinburgh University Theatre Company is also a member of the Friends of Bedlam committee. This ensures we have a solid link with the current generation of Bedlamites. The President also helps us run the Friends of Bedlam grants scheme.
